we have been talking about a rice diet for some time now. it just happened that on the walk home me and george decided that the diet had started. meaning also that the fast will end at dinner time. which would be nice.

when we got home a discussion began and the whole flat obviously opted int. since it was really a more communal idea to start with.

we ended up talking about the rules etc. what came out was the plan was to make it as bland as possible, to make it difficult, aswell as nutritional. but that kinda got dropped on the way side. at this stage the goal was for a one week diet.

so its:

• white rice
• water

although upon a little reflection and much debate we’ve added some exceptions:

• medication
• toothpaste
• lip balm

note: these may not be consumed within 10 minutes of eating rice. (either side)

the twist now is this: while talking about the duration of this diet, it kind of evolved into a competition, so all week time frame was thrown away and were just going as long as you want. which is going to be amusing, since we have some very competitive players.

someone said how long? and to that, the unanimous reply was, just say when. (and that only sounds lame kause its also the name of this blog. this was named after life. we were quoting life, this place here is just a reflection of that. not the other way around)

ahh i love competitions. they are so dangerous in our house.

well keep the news and progress posted regularly i hope. you can follow the individual progress on mine and grg’s blogs, but well also do a every couple of days update here.

**UPDATE: lol competition over. before the close of the first 24 hour period everyone bailed. im going to the end of the second day to end gracefully. got a headache. rice is tough.

ok. so this is a long story, well actually, now that i think about it, its not really.

im just still feeling a little under the weather.

as you can see here there are 4 empty bottles. Nina finished a minute or so after us. It was totally the most impressive part. She is tiny, but drank it all!!

there is also an awesome vid of us throwing up. and being generally sick. but im sure you get the point. maple suryp is quite extreme.

the best part, which you dont see here. is the fact that for breakfast we had curry. amazing super spicy curry. so while we were throwing up, it was burning. our vomit was on fire. quite an experience indeed.

Ok, so it has been a while, but the last part, well, last so far part of the scoville saga is ready to be presented. Now now a little bribery was involved, since we all came away from the chopstick event feeling that we had not yet reached the pinnacle of the sauce. Hence the following and quite possibly the last vid from this bottle.

so here we go, as mentioned in earlier posts by rek, we got chilli sauce. and we got space to eat some, undiluted. vids are poor quality i know, dont like the quality? sponsor us.

Daves special reserve insanity hot sauce – the essence behind supermac

yes rekarnar has friends, or flatmates, whatever. I’v finally gotten round to posting(gosh this is exciting!). To any of you that have visited this blog before or any newcomers, yes we are building a boat entirely out of mountain dew bottles, yes we are highly caffenated ( ill let rek fill you in on our latest find) and yes we like chilli.

aside from all that this post is intended to be about progress. and i have to apologise here because as far as progress goes there hasnt been a lot. You see we’ve found other means of cafenating ourselves, mountain dew has a ‘new look’ bottle (grrrr) and we are all playing far to much table tennis, and gaming (yes computer gaming) far more than the average peson should.

‘ everything in moderation’ – what rot, how much fun can you have with only a little… ( no im not being dirty! )

never fear adoring fans, it will all happen and you will get your photos !

this is to mark the month passing, in which we have had no supermac. supermac came to us though armageddon. the scifi event that is. (the one with Jewel Staite(!!!)). it was a good few months back. not quite sure on dates. but oh can i can still taste it~~. that deadly, creamy goodness.

at the event, on entering and leaving you could take a sample of this new instant macaroni and cheese kinda deal. its one if those just add water jobbies. so yer. long story short. even though I guess this is the place for long stories, we came out of the event with roughly just under 2 boxes. again, im not quite sure on numbers. although space might be able to fill in a few gaps here.

around this time we received a good supply of .5lt ish soups. although in only two flavours, mushroom and bean. now, these of course, had vastly more exotic names, something to the tune of moroccan bean and something or rather. etc. but basically its as is.

now, the last part to this story is the everlasting bag of whole dried chillies. but that is another storie. one that will be told do be sure. just another time.

so, basicially you just add this all togther and eat for a good month or two. this is the recipy for supermac. the only sadness is there are not photos, as this was a time before the blog. although forever it will live on in our minds.

This post is to commemorate the opening of a page link on the side. this will follow the makings of the boat. What boat you say? THE boat.!(i say, if not a little extravagantly) being avid drinkers of mountain dew we have accumulated quite a collection on bottles. now, being the good humanists we are, we couldnt just throw these all away. well that would just be boring wouldnt it. so after numerous minutes of planning, the conclusion was reached to make a boat. ‘we could even get sponsored’ we roared in exhilaration of the stunning boat idea. well, well have a boat anyway. so without further adue, i present: the boat page! ! ! (but being that i am at work at the moment i dont really have any content to post.) oh, so i guess this is more of a teaser. then again, though i guess by the time anyone reads this there might damn well be a boat. (*i think the current count was about 22boxes needed.)

in the lastest of the first of more to come, i would like to report on an undertaking in insanity. daves insanity that is. reserve edition. to occomany this report, we also have a nice little snippit or two. just to add to the goodness.

well, im not sure what we were doing, but one day i came accross daves site, and a longer story short… since then we have bought his reserve edition sauce. (which cost us 100$).

 so we have been eating the sauce. but have found that it really is greater than us. the sauce does indeed own us. now. that just wasnt going to sit. that is just not right. 

 so, i decided to kill two birds.

after i got back inside and washed the blood from my hands, i had a beer and slept.

well, i would of if i drank, and slept. (i do sleep tho) 

on a site note, i have been trying to get space to get wow for liek ever.(oh they play wow, ctrl-w) so i though some insentive wouldnt go a miss. 

 the deal was set. one quarter dunked chopstick. 2 big licks. one wow account.
